Excellent chippy and best piece of Cod I have had in ages. What more could you want fish and chips in the paper, sitting on a sea front on a sunny spring evening with the smell of the sea air in your nostrils....yum yum yum. I will be back on my next visit to Lowestoft.

Thank you for solving my son's wish for a sausage roll - a sausage in a bread roll - with BBQ sauce. He is an adult with a learning disability and he was so pleased that the team made his bespoke order! The chips were absolutely delicious! The staff in The Chippy have won my son's heart. He told the owner he sang Wonderwall (Oasis) at a recent karaoke and then he joined my son in singing the whole song! Fabulous atmosphere! 🎶🎶🎶

Excellent! The best fish and chips we have had in a long while. Good portions, and they cater for gluten free, batter is available on request. Clean and tidy restaurant with friendly and helpful staff. We look forward to returning.

Really tasty food at good prices. Sausages are a big step above standard chip shop items. Chips are excellent with crisp outsides and soft interiors. They fry using beef dripping, giving great taste and texture to chips and batter alike. Kind and friendly staff, too. We have enjoyed a couple of takeaways (there's also a restaurant) in April - May 2025, and they've been better than other, very highly regarded chip shops around. Visit if you get the chance.
